As many believe that death is a beginning and not an end, so too is our last step. For a Holy Lands RPG game never really ends. Even if your character and his comrades defeat the terrible boss monster and his lair, your campaign's Rac will have opened up more storylines than were ever closed. In an adventure, your character will interact with NPC's, gain and lose close friends, allies, and enemies. Your character will earn, spend, have stolen, and possibly even steal treasure and riches. He or she will also surely explore and uncover amazing natural and supernatural places you would have never expected to "see." None of this goes away by pushing any power button, or putting anything away in a box. It is part of your characters', your campaigns', and all of the future characters' and campaigns' world; past, present, and future. Through all of these amazing experiences come... well, experience (more specifically, Experience Points). On top of all of the other things he or she will gain, the more your character experiences the more EXP he or she will gain. By accruing more and more EXP, your character will reach certain be nchmarks that allow him or her to grow nearly in any way you see fit; mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Once you and your group have had an adventure at the table, you can use our online tools to "report" your character's accomplishments, equipment, and earnings. This is called "Journaling," and if your Rac approves what you have Journaled for your character, all of that Experience, those earnings, and that equipment is your character's to keep. With a Rac account, your Raconteur is able to not only approve and disapprove of your requests, but he or she can modify and add to them, in case you have forgotten something or something your character did or said caught the appreciation of the Rac. With a Rac account, your adventure's storyteller is able to distribute far more Experience than you may have requested, enabling your character to level up much faster. By leveling up, your character gains new Skills and abilities as well as increases in physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual strength. Your character can do more, handle more, and is more devastating to his or her enemies. Likewise, by leveling your character, your group's Rac gains more EXP as well, in the form of Quest Credits. These quest credits allow a Rac to "buy" more powerful items and storyline elements that offer your character more opportunities and more power to do good, all of which in turn makes for a much more exciting game experience. |
