3E Core Rules

|

The hardest part for new Holy Lands RPG players may be finding friends who are both willing and able to try out something new that can seem complicated at first. Since the primary tools that make Holy Lands RPG great are online, each player in your group will need to set up their own account, at least a free Member Account to try it out. Then one person in your group will have to run the game. This person is the Rac, and the others will be players who will run their characters through the Rac's adventure. Therefore, the Rac will have to have a solid understanding of at least the core principles of the game. Once you and the other players have established an account, the Rac will invite you through his or her campaign account. You will have to give the Rac your Contact Code (found at the bottom of your account page) and your username. This is how he or she will be able to contact you. Once you receive the invite via email, you will pick a character to join the campaign, then you're ready to adventure!
Note: if you decide to be the group's Rac, it is advised that you upgrade your account to a Rac Account. The Rac Account affords you the most abilities of all the accounts. You can have and play many more characters, you can run multiple campaigns, and you will be able to distribute the highest available amount of experience points and items to your players (which in turn gains you more Quest Credits, which allow you to create adventures with more powerful elements. This then makes your adventures more fun, which continues the cycle of gaining more and giving more – more on Quest Credits below). |
