Since Holy Lands RPG is a face-to-face, tabletop role-playing game in which you play typically at the same table as your friends, you will need a set of gaming dice. Gaming dice are unique in that they differ from the standard cubed dice commonly found in board games, yet they are common enough that you can pick up a set online or at your local gaming or comic store. For Holy Lands RPG you will want to have access to a complete set and, to avoid undue complications, you will probably want to get your own set. This is because the storyteller, the person running the game (also known as the Rac), may have each player at the table roll the same die or pair of dice at the same time. With that stated, most gamers have a plethora (often to a ridiculous level) of each type of dice. Though you may accumulate quite a collection in the future, for now all you need is one set. Interestingly, gaming dice have more and less of sides than the standard six-sided cubed die. Though a set of gaming dice include a six-sided die, they also include dice with an equal number of sides ranging from four sides to 20 sides (there are dice that have significantly more sides than 20, but a set with 20 sides and less is all that you will need.)
