Now that you have your account set up, the next step is to build your character online. Depending on which account you choose, you will have access to various different Character Classes. Once you select one, you can roll to generate your character's stats and then save the one you desire. This will be your primary character that you will take into your campaigns. Note: The upgraded accounts allow you to have more characters that you can play at any one time. With most tabletop RPG's, the process of character generation can take hours. However, with Holy Lands RPG online character builder, the entire process, from selecting a Character Class to printing out your new character, can literally take seconds. Before you make your final decision on a Character Class, you will want to examine the differences, the strengths and weaknesses, of the available classes. Because the character builder generates a large number of characteristics and their different values, you will want to understand the basic differences in Statures, homelands, Attributes, Abilities, Skills, etc., most of which is discussed in this same section. In a couple clicks, you can have a complete character available to save and print. Note: depending on which account you choose, you will have a limited number of "rolls." Upgraded accounts can give you substantially more rolls than the free Member Account. Every time you generate a character, it costs you one roll. If you do not like the stats that were generated with that roll, you can spend another roll and try again. Though you have a limited number of rolls, they do regenerate at a rate of one per hour; technically, a roll is restored one hour after it is spent. Be careful though, especially for Rac Accounts, because most elements of the site that randomly generate can cost one roll in order to reroll its stats. |
